Your business is your own creation. You have to treat it with kid gloves because above all you want it to survive and prosper. There is no set of rules to follow that guarantee things will work out for you. Sometime it is all about trial and error. You have to keep trying new things to bring in customers and keep them. If you have had your business for a while then you know how you have to adjust and adapt to changing economic climates. This is all part of keeping your creation afloat.
Another way to reach potential customers close to home is giving to the community. Join up with the local high school career day. You can bring some nice promotional materials to give to both teachers and kids. You will find other community events that you can be a part of. Even if all you do is set up a table and give out some inexpensive promotional tokens while talking to people.
So, if you find yourself in the position of needing some new type of advertising or other promotion, don't go throw your money at some big advertising firm. There is always the option of staying closer to home in terms of building business. You don't want the stress of spending more money if you are already way down in business revenue.
Your business success could be all up to you being out and about and getting the word out yourself. No one knows and loves your business like you do. You can get your employees in on the home grown promotion as well. Give them all promotional magnets to give to people, instead of business cards. Sign up for a local industry event and you'll be amazed by all the connections that you come up with. You need to give out promotional items at any event that you go to so people will remember your business later.
You can get attention for your company for a long time with pretty custom memo blocks that are good to make little notes on. If you also give nice logo pens , you will have a nifty set for customers.
